Language Announcements

If the patient is not a native English speaker, the system can assist with sending a recorded announcement into the room in the patient's native language. The application defaults to the primary language for the patient.

The responsiveness to verbal redirection varies across patients. Some respond great to verbal interventions: "Hey Mr. Ibedi, how are you doing? Please stay in the bed - can I get the nurse for you?". While others have been more responsive to the recorded announcements. You can try them out to see what works best in each case.

To initiate an announcement, hover over a Live Video block and click "Quick View":

In the Quick View sidebar, locate the Announcement section, confirm the default language setting, select the desired message, and then click "Play in Room"
