System Notifications
System Notifications can be enabled by your LookDeep Account Manager upon request.
Introduction
System notifications are user alerts that include important information and require acknowledgment. These notifications are designed to bring awareness to patients that are requiring an excessive amount of attention and interventions over a certain time period. These patients should be assessed for their appropriateness for virtual monitoring.
- Notifications can be accessed from anywhere within Patient Central by clicking on the bell icon in the top right.
- The system is configured for two types of notifications with more to be added. Currently, users will receive notifications for:
- # of Events logged within a specified time period
- # of Stat Alarms within a specified time period
- The System Event Conditions are the same for all hospitals in the hospital system.
Notification Workflow
- When a notification occurs, the Notification icon will indicate the number of unacknowledged messages.
- By clicking on a Notification, a Manager can respond to the notification. They will be taken to the patient monitoring page to acknowledge the alert and take action as appropriate.
- Once a user clicks ‘Acknowledge’:
- The # in the red circle will decrement or go away if there are no unacknowledged notifications
- The acknowledgment action will be recorded in the Event log
Important
There are two conditions that will prevent a notification from being triggered:
- if there is an unacknowledged alert for that event type (regardless of time period), a new one will not be created.
- if an alert was already triggered during that time period, a new one will not be created.
Please let your LookDeep Account Manager know if you would like this feature enabled for your hospital system.
