LD-1181 Send Alarm email for applicable Events following an update

Enabled the Alarm email alert for “Events” that are updated.


For example: An Event created created as “Prevented” / “Fall-Unassisted” will not send an email. However, if it’s updated to “Occurred” / “Fall-Unassisted” an email alert will now be sent. Previously the update did not trigger the email to be sent.

LD-1166 Automatically start/stop monitoring sessions from ADT feed Optional Administrator setting to automatically starting or stopping a monitoring session for fixed cameras based on applicable ADT events.
LD-1167 Log where a Monitoring Session is started

The Monitoring Sessions page, now includes a field to show where a monitoring sessions was started:

LD-1182 Zoom maintained when size of video block changes Zoom level is maintained following a change in the block size. A reset button is also now visible.

LD-954 Monitoring Notes not available on hover over Issue resolved
LD-1094 LVU - Transfer between Ethernet to Wifi Previously, if the ethernet is removed while the LVU is turned OFF, there is a chance the wifi unit would not be enabled. This issue has been resolved and operation between ethernet and wifi is seamless. If ethernet is available, it will be used as the primary connection option.
LD-1100 Enable Test Video without requiring an Active Monitoring Session Resolved this issues. In order to “Test Live Video” an active Monitoring Session is no longer required.

LD-1061 Create UI for Viewing Transfer and Assignment History

Reporting > Patient Tracker - provides a detailed log report of all Assignments and patient Transfers.

  • Batch ID: this is the overarching ID. There is one unique Batch ID created per Assignment save event and per each Transfer event.
  • Tx ID: this is specific to individual patients and only pertains to Transfer events. There is one unique Tx ID created per each patient per Transfer event.
  • Transfer Status: status only applicable to Transfer Events

    • Accepted
    • Connected
    • Cancelled
LD-1067 Show last login time on the Assignments page This additional information helps ensure Assignments are being made to the proper users. Green highlights are used for activity within the last hour. Red highlights denote activity greater than one hour.
LD-1091 Add Narrow mode video profile to video device Added an optional “narrow mode” to reduce the default field of view (ie 120 degrees) for the LookDeep camera. This essentially provides a pre zoomed in view without resolution loss.
LD-1097 Video Device Menu Option under Ellipsis Video Device Name is now on it’s own line allowing the full camera name to be displayed.
LD-1098 Eliminate screen flashing when connecting live video during Transfers Screen flashing has been eliminated when connecting to live videos during Transfers.
LD-1108 Transfer to Another Room Scenario: patient is actively being monitored and an ADT notification of a room change is received. This change will alert the user and give them the option to change the room # with the application without having to stop and start a new monitoring session.
LD-1111 Ensure Hover-over Buttons are always visible Changed the shading of the hover over buttons to ensure they were always visible (ie in very bright / white backgrounds or dark backgrounds).
LD-1115 Add out of Room Banner Added a new “Away Message” feature that allows users to provide a visual indicator on the live video block with monitoring is ongoing but the patient is out of the room.
LD-1117 Better Pan User Experience - Click and Hold Added the ability to click and hold to control the pan/tilt on PTZ cameras.

LD-794 Add App Modules Capabilities Enables LookDeep to configure custom applications (i.e. Virtual Sitting, Virtual Nursing, eICU, etc.) with various menu options that can all be named/labeled based on each customer’s preferences.
LD-827 Automatically Set and Use a Safety Zone on a Device When a monitoring session is initiated, the Safety Zone will automatically be set based on a close approximation of the bed region.
LD-851 Nurse Station - Blurred Videos on Central Monitoring The Nursing Station view is only available in Central Monitoring and displays all video windows in blurred mode. This balances patient privacy while still monitoring the room. The user can optionally turn the blur on/off for each video block. The primary use case for this option might be a centralized Nursing Station on a given floor.
LD-912 Team Mode - Workforce Efficiencies  Introducing the ability to seamlessly assign and transfer patients between users providing uninterrupted live video monitoring. 
LD-921 eICU Virtual Requests - Backend Rewrite & Admin Page Improved handling of eICU requests and created a log accessible by Administrators under Monitoring > Inbound Requests. This log is helpful to track the status of all ICU requests (button pushed) - timestamp, facility, room number, status and who accepted it.
LD-943 Offline Device - Improved Video User Experience In Central Monitoring or Team Mode, when a device is known to be offline, the video block displays the message “This device appears to be offline“ and the Connect button is unclickable and greyed out. When the device comes back online, that message disappears, and the Connect button becomes clickable.
LD-944 eICU Pop-up - Added the Facility Added the facility name to the eICU pop-up message displayed to the Virtual Nurse. The pop-up message now includes: the patient’s name, room number and facility name.
LD-945 Team Mode - Automatically connect to live videos In Team Mode, all available Live Videos will automatically connect when the page opens without the user having to hit the “Connect All” button.
LD-952 Enhanced Nurse Call Log entries for failed connections If the hospital does not successfully receive the nurse call message, the logs now identify the reason. Fields have been added: “Status“ and “Failure Reason” to the Admin > Monitoring > Nurse Call Logs.
LD-957 Handle missing discharge events from ADT feed We were not always getting discharge messages in the ADT feed for various patient types. To address this, the ADT ingestion has been modified so that whenever we’re admitting or transferring a patient to a room, we mark all existing Active patients in that room as Inactive.
LD-962 Team Mode - Added 'Create Monitoring Session' Within Team Mode, you can create a new Monitoring Session using the right side panel. There is no need to leave the screen and therefore never lose site of your patients.
LD-963 Show device and version on live monitoring block The video device name and version number have been added on all Live Video blocks under the ellipsis.
LD-979 Allow Users to remotely reboot video devices From within Central Monitoring or Team Mode, allow users to remotely reboot a video device from the live video block. This menu option is under the ellipsis and is available to all users who have the privilege setting to view patients.
LD-997 Simplify the Buttons on Central Monitoring / Team Mode Streamlined the buttons to improve the user experience.
LD-1001 Added Permissions for Assignments and Infinity Watch New Role permissions added for Team Mode: Manage Assignments, Receive Assignments and View Assignments.
LD-1015 Whenever opening video blocks, change the default to show all safety zones. When a live video block is initially opened, it will default to show the Safety Zone if one is already set.
LD-1037 Added Stop Monitoring Under Live Video Ellipsis The ‘Stop Monitoring’ action has been added to the ellipsis on the live video block. This enables users to stop a monitoring session and thereby remove the live video block without ever leaving Central Monitoring or Team Mode.

LD-642 Distribute Pop Up alerts By Role / Topic User Role profiles have been enhanced to include a topic indicator (Virtual Nursing, Virtual eICU, Virtual Scribe). This enables pop-up alerts to be directed to the appropriate users only.
LD-691 Add Ethernet Connection to Video Device Page

When a video device is connected via ethernet as opposed to wifi:

(1) a visual indicator is now available on the live video window in Central Monitoring

(2) and on the Video Device there is a new column available (Network Interface)

LD-743 AI Nudge Confirmation in Central Monitoring UI

When nudge is activated in the UI it does not leave the screen until there is a mouseover into that video block.


When the mouseover occurs the UI the flashing yellow perimeter goes away.

LD-792 Enhance Shift Report to include AI Nudge Metrics

The Shift report has been updated to include the following columns:


“AI Nudge Events” - the number of nudge events per patient in the given time

“AI Nudge Avg Response Time” - the average response time (in seconds) for the nudge to be acknowledged by mousing over the video block

LD-824 Safety Zone Nudge - Adjustable based on Number of People in the Room Created a LookDeep administered setting to supress the AI nudge depending on the number of people in the room. This attempts to minimize the nudge activity when many people (family or staff) are in the room. During such times, the patient is logically safer, and the safety zone is more likely to be crossed. For example, let’s assume it’s set to 5. This means that if the AI identifies 5 or more persons in the room, it will not trigger the AI Nudge.
LD-888 eICU Button - Light Status Change

When a person in the ICU pushes the eICU button the light *should flash white* until:


# A video visit or live video monitoring session is opened to the device

# 15 minutes (should be a setting at the health system level)


the LVU LED should return to it’s previous state (ie. Green if connected or Blue if ready to connect) and not remain flashing pinkish-white indefinitely.

LD-896 Video Visits / Test Video should start with Audio Muted Previously, when a video visit was started, the audio was enabled. With this change, the default will be that audio is initially muted.
LD-903 Configure NetworkManager to prefer ethernet over wifi LVU will now prioritize an ethernet connection over a wifi signal.
LD-914 Virtual visit request via pop-up alert does not require an Active Monitoring session Virtual visit which generate a pop-up alert in the application are typically generated from an external request such as a bedside nurse pressing the EICU button. Previously the system required that a monitoring session was active for that patient (room). With this change, an active monitoring session is not required as long as the request is from a room with a fixed video device.
LD-915 Allow customizable logo on kiosk mode page Allows Administrators to change the logo that appears on the video monitor in the patient’s room. The default will be the Hospital System Logo.
LD-924 EICU Button - Audit Trail

The EICU button has an audit trail - logs entries for:


# the video device received an eICU button click

# we published the notification alert message

# the web app logs it received it (and shows it on the screen via blue pop-up)

LD-938 EICU Button - Audible Announcement When the ICU button is pressed, an announcement for the app users is played. It repeats every 30 seconds until it's answered via the Video Visit button.

LD-685 New Hospital Preferences Page Provides a single page of configurable parameters for the selected hospital. Access to this page requires the “Edit Hospitals“ privilege to be enabled for your Role.
LD-719 Enhance Nudge with Audio Indicator AI Nudge has been enhanced with an option ‘ding’ to help alert the VMT to a potentially unsafe situation that may require intervention.
LD-752 Reorganize Health System and Hospital Preferences With the growth of the application, it became necessary to reorganize the configuration parameters available to an Administrator.
LD-758 Device Unavailable - Improved User Experience The Live Video block with now provide a clear indication if the device is offline. If the user decides they still want to attempt to connect, they will be presented with a pop-up alert that provides the same warning however, the user can still attempt to connect if they desire. Best practice would be to first confirm that the camera is powered on. When the camera is properly powered on, the live video window will automatically update to allow the user to connect as normal.
LD-759 Video Error Message Consolidation

Various video connection informational and error messages have been consolidated. The new messages include:

  • “Video connection error. (ERR:DISCONNECT_UNEXPECTED)”
    • This error indicates - Attempting to connect but the connection failed.
  • “Video connection error. (ERR:CONNECT_FAILED)”
    • This error indicates - Live Video and unexpectedly disconnected.
  • “Video connection error. (ERR:SIGNAL_FAILED)”
    • This error indicates - Attempting to connect but the connection failed.
  • “Video connection error. (ERR:CONNECT_TIMEOUT)”
    • This error indicates - Attempted to connect and did not connect and did not receive an error so we stopped waiting after 15 seconds.
LD-764 "Connect All Video" Button - Only for Cameras that are Powered on The "Connect All Video" button will now only attempt to connect to cameras that are properly powered on. It will skip those that are believed to be offline.
LD-783 Make AI Nudge Indicator Around the Block Bigger Improved the visibility of AI Nudge - made the highlighter border 4 pixels wider and added 5 seconds of flashing.
LD-805 "Connect All" Button - Video Delay is Configurable The Video → “Connect “All” button on Central Monitoring provides a slight delay between connecting the available Live Video blocks. This is done to avoid overloading the network with multiple connection attempts at the same time. This setting is available to users with access to the Hospital System Preferences page.
LD-808 Added More Audio Options to In-room Alarm

LD-575 Patient Central compatibility with Edge on Windows 10 Patient Central is now compatible with Edge on Windows 10 (version 120.0.2210.91 and up).
LD-587 Improve horizontal scrollbar behavior on all Pages Improved horizontal scrolling on all pages to ensure consistent user experience with buttons always visible.
LD-619 Getwell integration enabled Added ability to integrate with the Getwell inpatient entertainment and information system.

LD-635 Improved AI Nudge Visual Alert On very large monitors, the old alert method was subtle and could sometimes be overlooked. This new user interface changes the live video header to make it easier to see.
LD-636 Enhance Workflow when initiating Video Visit (Preview) Allows a virtual nurse / clinician to peek into a room without announcement or disturbing the patient prior to initiating a virtual knock. Prevents disrupting a sensitive situation (ie family visit or in-room procedure).
LD-637 Alphabetize Attribute List in QuickView / Patient Detail Made it much easier to find the attributes in a long list quickly.
LD-647 Alarm - Sound in the Room Option When an Alarm is activated, an MP3 audio alarm from the speakers will be activated in the room.  The type and duration of the Alarm are configurable by a system administrator.
LD-648 Change # of Columns - Add Shortcut Keys Use the hotkeys (Shift + Up arrow) to increase the number of columns and (Shift + Down arrow) to decrease the number of columns.
LD-657 Restrict Monitoring Session - No Video Popups to the hospitals you do not have access to Restricted this Alert to only hospitals to which you have access.
LD-665 Patient Edit Page - Update Organization of Fields This change should make fields easier and quicker to locate on the patient edit page.
