Virtual Nursing - Connection Issues (Video)

An unsuccessful Video Visit may result in either of the videos not connecting properly.

View for the Virtual Nurse / Provider

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

  • Hit the blue Connect button and attempt to reconnect.
  • If that does not work, request the bedside team power cycle / reboot the camera.
  • If that does not work, have the camera replaced

View for the Patient

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

  • Ensure the hospital logo is visible prior to initiating a video visit.  This ensures the camera is properly connected to the monitor.
  • Ensure the clinician had the two-way video option enabled (see image below)
  • Check monitor power and HDMI connections in the room
